WP4

Multi-scale interpretation

The first activity of this WP will be the interpretation of phase deformation signals in the interferograms to relate phase them to slope mass movements. The attribution of  each signal to a specific class of mass movement will be supported by the information retrieved in WP2. Therefore, this dataset at wide-area scale will provide a layer in support to deep learning model training, validation and use (WP5).

A second activity will consist on developing site-specific semi-automated procedures to characterise the kinematics, spatial heterogeneity, style of activity and relationships with triggering factors of selected case studies of practical interest. Some of the methods to perfom this characterisation will include (1) interferogram stacking, to derive displacement maps at different temporal windows, and (2) decomposition of true displacement vectors, by combining ascending and descending orbit displacement maps.
